What I’ve Learned in PowerPoint

Well, I have certainly learned a lot in PowerPoint. I just have to think of what it is. Oh! I’ve got it! …nope, nope, it’s gone. Okay, well, I’m sure that Simba could figure this out ten times better than me! That’s it – I learned how to make different kinds of slides, like how Simba learns to eat several different types of insects. I can make these slides freaking cool, just like the song Hakuna Matata is, the song that Simba sings while eating bugs. I did not get to sing or dance while I learned to make slides with pictures on them and moving font, but oh well. Mufasa never danced either (but he did sing). Another cool thing I learned was how to make stuff appear on my slides in a cool order. Now I know why Timon and Pumba were so excited when Hakuna Matata turned into such a great sing and dance number! It’s hard to make everything (or one) come in at the right time and still look good! Another thing that I really liked was how I could take an outline from a Word presentation and make into a PowerPoint. Pour Simba, having to take the knowledge he had gathered from his life in the jungle and transfer it to Pride Rock! Luckily, transferring files is much easier than that. Yet it is sadder because it too involves neither singing nor dancing as well. I learned all about the different slide views that one can use, such as Slide Master View and Slideshow. This came in handy, because sometimes you need multiple views of one thing, such as when Simba had to look at the death of Mufasa from a different point of view, before he understood what had really happened.

Learning PowerPoint has been a great experience, like taking over Pride Rock was for Scar. I felt very victorious when I had figured out what I was doing. Luckily I didn’t backstab any hyenas or lionesses, so I survived. I made some really cool presentations, like my movie slideshow, of which I’m sure I worked really hard. It was almost as cool as the fact that the same guy does the voice of Darth Vadar and Mufasa. Best and worst dad ever. Whoa.
